The investigation, led by the Judea and Samaria District police, revealed that on October 12, a report was received about a burning gas balloon being thrown onto the highway between Assaf Hill and Ofra. The attackers aimed to strike Israeli vehicles and endanger drivers. Following extensive intelligence and investigative operations, forces raided the village and arrested the three individuals. They are suspected of endangering human life on a transportation route, as well as weapons possession, carrying, and manufacturing offenses. The suspects were transferred to intensive interrogation by the Samaria Region's crime-fighting unit. A court extended their detention by one week at the police's request.
