The Likud party has reacted strongly to suspicions of foreign funding influencing Israel's 26th Knesset elections, calling it "Ra'amGate" and a "major earthquake" that "stole the elections." Likud demanded an immediate investigation by the Shin Bet and police, linking the alleged interference to attempts to undermine the right-wing government and the IDF. The party also warned against any Zionist party cooperating with Arab parties in light of these allegations.

The Likud party issued a strong statement on Thursday, calling the alleged foreign interference in the 26th Knesset elections a "major earthquake" and accusing unspecified actors of "stealing the elections in Israel." The party referred to the affair as "Ra'amGate" and demanded an immediate investigation by the Shin Bet and the police.

Likud's reaction comes after the Chairman of the Central Elections Committee, Judge Noam Sohlberg, instructed the head of the Shin Bet, David Zini, to investigate suspicions of foreign funding intended to improperly influence the election results. Likud stated that Sohlberg's remarks about foreign entities interfering and bribing voters for Arab parties represent an "unprecedented shock."

The party claimed these suspicions indicate a foreign attempt to influence the Knesset's composition and the identity of the next government. Likud asserted that this constitutes an "attack on democracy" aimed at a "foreign takeover of the Knesset, the Islamization of Israel, and the downfall of the right-wing government to lead to retreat and defeat for the IDF in all arenas, especially Iran."

Likud linked these suspicions to post-election political maneuvering, particularly the possibility of cooperation between the "change bloc" parties and Arab parties. The party declared that given the alleged foreign attempt to control the Knesset, no Zionist party should cooperate with Ra'am and the Joint List, nor form a government deemed "dangerous to Israel."

The party concluded by demanding immediate action from the Shin Bet and police to investigate these alleged "crimes."
