The Central Elections Committee announced that the counting of votes from double envelopes is scheduled to commence around 1:00 AM and is expected to conclude by evening tomorrow. This process involves votes cast by individuals who voted outside their designated polling stations, such as soldiers serving abroad, diplomats, and students studying overseas.
These "double envelopes" contain the voter's identification details along with their ballot, ensuring that only eligible voters cast their ballots and that each person votes only once. The counting of these ballots is a crucial step in finalizing the election results, as they can sometimes sway the outcome, especially in close races.
The committee has mobilized its staff and resources to ensure the efficient and secure counting of these sensitive ballots. The final results are anticipated to be announced after this process is completed.
