A sharp dispute erupted behind the scenes of Channel 13's election broadcast between reporter Lucy Aharish and commentator Eyal Berkovich. The argument, which began over comments made on air, escalated during a commercial break to high-pitched tones, according to "Walla!" news. The incident started after political correspondent Moriyah Asraf reported from the Likud party headquarters and referred to "90 Zionist mandates." Aharish responded to Asraf's remarks on air, and Berkovich then replied to Aharish.

The confrontation continued during the commercial break, with Aharish reportedly calling Asraf and Berkovich "racists," according to sources present. Eyewitnesses stated that Berkovich told Aharish, "Calm down, you're not in the village here." Following these exchanges, a visibly upset Aharish left the studio.

Assaf Rappaport, an owner of the channel, who was at the Reshet 13 studios in Neve Ilan, arrived to investigate the situation. Sources familiar with the details reported that Aharish broke down in tears in front of Rappaport, saying, "Look how I am treated in my home." They added that Rappaport hugged her and stated that the remarks were unacceptable to him, adding that if she felt unable to return to the studio, he would accept that.

Channel CEO Idan Alrum also arrived at the scene. According to sources, he told Aharish that he would demand an apology from Berkovich. Reshet 13 issued a statement regarding the incident, saying, "There is no place for such talk."
