The win was Southampton's most significant of the season, especially considering their earlier points deduction. Peretz's crucial save in the 95th minute was highlighted as a key moment, with fans calling it his best game for the club. His strong performance, including a 77.4% save rate, positions him as a potential Premier League goalkeeper.

Meanwhile, former Israeli star Barak Itzhaki achieved his first win as coach of Anorthosis in Cyprus, a 2-0 victory against Aris Limassol. Itzhaki's team displayed positive energy and a connection with the fans, who celebrated the debut win enthusiastically. While it's early to assess Itzhaki's long-term impact, his coaching style, characterized by high pressure and fast, aggressive play, has shown early promise. The team's offensive improvement was noted, with a faster player deployed to stretch the defense.

In other news, Dean David of Yokohama is facing an uncertain future. His contract is nearing its end, and he has been consistently left out of the squad, even after recovering from injury. Reports suggest a high transfer fee is involved, and he has been earning a significant salary without playing. A January release is possible, potentially making him an attractive option for Israeli clubs, though his camp reportedly prefers not to return to Israel.
