Stock donations have become a significant avenue for Israeli philanthropy, with a 30-fold increase reported between 2023 and 2025, according to data from the donation platform Jgive. Over the past three years, public companies have donated approximately NIS 150 million in stocks. Notable donors for 2026 include Nachman Ben-Nessia, a senior executive at Next Vision, who contributed about NIS 10 million (following a similar donation last year), and Avraham Fox, an owner of the Fox Group, who donated around NIS 2.5 million. About a quarter of these stock donations are in tech companies like Nvidia, Apple, and Google, with over half coming from repeat donors.
Jgive, led by CEO Uri Ben Shlomo, also reported that by the end of the third quarter of 2026, the total value of donations had already reached the level of the entire previous year, 2025. In August-September alone, the number of stock donations was triple that of the same period last year. With December typically being a peak month for donations due to the tax year ending, 2026 is projected to see a significant increase compared to 2025.
In other news, Dganit Kramer, CEO of Hot Mobile, announced the appointment of Haran Levavot as CFO and Business Development. Levavot previously served as a senior deputy director for economics at the Ministry of Communications. This move is part of building a new management team for the telecommunications company, which recently changed ownership to Dolev Israel, Keyston Fund, and Leumi Partners. Levavot's prior roles include CEO and managing partner at Rational Strategic and Economic Consulting, and he is a founding partner at Tri Sixty, a data center construction company.
Additionally, the trend of micro-drama and micro-reality on the internet is now extending to the food channel of Ananey (part of SkyDance). The channel will launch a web series called "Food Take," featuring pastry chef and content creator Or Sheffitz leading a culinary competition to find the next food influencers.
