The Tshebin Yeshiva in Jerusalem shielded its students from election news by encouraging them to focus on Torah study. Students who abstained from political news and propaganda until after the election were promised prayers from the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Yosef Moshe Schneurson, at his grandfather's grave. Financial lotteries of 500 shekels were also offered as incentives for maintaining this detachment.

  • Tshebin Yeshiva students were shielded from election news through a spiritual initiative.
  • Students abstaining from political news were promised prayers from the Rosh Yeshiva.
  • Financial lotteries of 500 shekels were offered as incentives for detachment.
  • The yeshiva ensured study sessions were not interrupted by election activities.

During the recent election period, the Tshebin Yeshiva in Jerusalem implemented a unique initiative to shield its students from political discourse. Hundreds of students continued their intensive Torah studies, seemingly unaffected by the surrounding political fervor. This educational strategy was conceived by the yeshiva's leadership to foster a spiritual environment.

As an incentive, students who committed to abstaining from news, politics, and propaganda until the morning after the elections were promised that their names would be mentioned for prayer and salvation by the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Yosef Moshe Schneurson. This would occur when he visited the grave of his grandfather, the founder of the yeshiva.

In addition to the spiritual encouragement, the yeshiva also organized financial lotteries of 500 shekels for students who successfully maintained their detachment from political "background noise." These students demonstrated enthusiasm for their studies and the unique program.

Students who needed to leave the yeshiva to vote in their hometowns did so only after completing their full morning study session, which concluded at 1:15 PM, ensuring no disruption to their daily Torah learning schedule.
