Big Brother Star Arrested for Assault Released from Custody

A 36-year-old male contestant from the reality show "Big Brother," whose identity is protected by a gag order, was released from police custody on Wednesday, despite the prosecution's request to extend his detention. The individual was arrested early Sunday morning following an alleged violent incident on Friday at his ex-girlfriend's apartment in Holon. He reportedly arrived at the location after being informed that their shared child had been injured.

During an argument, the woman ran into the street with the man pursuing her and shouting, drawing the attention of neighbors who called for help. Police initially responded but left without making an arrest as no injuries were apparent. However, after the woman filed a formal complaint on Saturday evening and presented medical documents indicating a fracture in her left hand, the man was arrested.

Earlier in the week, investigators conducted a tense direct confrontation between the two, as first reported by i24NEWS crime desk reporter Lee Ayash. During the interrogation, it was revealed that the ex-girlfriend was also questioned under caution on suspicion of assault, admitting to throwing a glass at the reality star's head. While the woman claimed the fracture resulted from his direct violence, medical documents obtained by i24NEWS stated the injury was caused by a fall. The suspect then challenged her, asking how she explained a cut from a grip.

The suspect vehemently denied the accusations, telling investigators, "She is lying, she loves likes and Instagram. She is lying, I don't understand why she is doing this to me, I would never hurt anyone, she told me 'the whole country will hear what I have to say.'" Despite the investigative unit's demand for an extended detention, the court decided to reject the police's request and ordered his release.
