Tel Aviv Night Race to Cause Widespread Road Closures Tonight

Tel Aviv will host a night race this evening, Wednesday, leading to significant road closures across the city. Hundreds of police officers from the Tel Aviv district, Border Police officers, volunteer emergency response teams, and security forces will be deployed to manage public order, direct traffic, and secure attendees. The event will take place in Ganei Yehoshua and along the race route throughout Tel Aviv.

Starting at 6:00 PM, numerous streets will be closed to vehicular traffic. These include Rokach Boulevard from Shprintzak Street to Ibn Gabirol Street in both directions, and Aizik Remba Street towards Rokach Boulevard from the Drive-In junction. Yeruham Meshel Street towards Rokach Boulevard will also be closed from the descent to Ayalon South.

Further closures will affect Ibn Gabirol Street from Rokach Boulevard to Shaul Hamelech Boulevard in both directions, Yehuda Halevi Street towards Ibn Gabirol from Weizmann Street, Nordau Boulevard towards Ibn Gabirol from Dizengoff Street, and Pinkas Street towards Ibn Gabirol from Weizmann Street. Jabotinsky Street towards Ibn Gabirol will be closed from Remez Street in the east and Sokolov Street in the west. Arlozorov Street towards Ibn Gabirol from Weizmann Street, Bloch Street towards Ibn Gabirol from Arlozorov Street, Ben Gurion Boulevard from Ibn Gabirol to Ben Yehuda Street in both directions, and King Solomon Street towards Ben Gurion Boulevard from Gordon Street will also be impacted.

Dizengoff Street will be closed southbound from Jabotinsky Street to Chen Boulevard, and northbound from Kaplan Street to Ben Gurion Boulevard. Gordon Street towards Dizengoff from Hayarkon Street and Frishman Street towards Dizengoff from Reines Street will be inaccessible. Shaul Hamelech Boulevard from Weizmann Street to Ibn Gabirol Street will be closed westbound.

Traffic arrangements on the Ayalon highways and Namir Road include closures of exits to Rokach Boulevard and the Exhibition Grounds on Ayalon North. On Ayalon South, the Rokach interchange exit will allow only a right turn towards the university. Namir Road will be closed in both directions between the Glilot junction and Shlomo Goren (Ha'halacha) from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM. Ayalon highway lanes will remain open for north and south travel throughout the race. Streets crossing the race route will be closed, and parking along the route will be prohibited.
