Starting November 1, Israel will offer discounted rates for passport applications as part of a winter promotion. The initiative, valid until February 28, 2027, aims to encourage online applications. Adults applying online will pay 185 shekels for a new or replacement passport, a reduction from the usual 290 shekels, saving 105 shekels. This seasonal discount is exclusively available for payments made via the internet. For soldiers and those in national civil service, the cost will be 90 shekels, and for minors, 110 shekels. A family of four could save 280 shekels, paying 590 shekels instead of 870. Applications processed in person at Population and Immigration Authority offices will remain more expensive, with adult passports costing 315 shekels. The discounts also apply to replacing lost or stolen passports, though at a higher rate: 515 shekels for adults online, compared to the standard 620 shekels. To secure the discounted price, applicants must pay online between November 1, 2026, and February 28, 2027. The actual appointment to complete the process can be scheduled and held anytime until April 30, 2027, with regular online rates resuming on March 1.
