Rabbi Avraham Stav has published a public appeal to MK-designates Gadi Eisenkot, Naftali Bennett, and Avigdor Lieberman, urging them to act with national responsibility and prevent another round of elections. Stav stated on social media that he voted for them in the recent election not out of complete agreement with their platforms on security, settlement, or the justice system, but from a belief that Israel needs change that the current narrow coalition cannot provide, and because no other party represented unity and could pass the electoral threshold.

He emphasized his expectation that the "change bloc" leaders would demonstrate leadership and political maturity during this time of national emergency. "I am aware that you did not promise me unity, but you promised me hope, you promised me change, and you promised me that you would put the good of the country above all else," Stav wrote.

Addressing the possibility of coalition talks failing and a return to the polls, Rabbi Stav warned of severe consequences. "I will find it difficult to forgive you if you drag us to repeat elections. It will be an irresponsible gamble with your ideologies, as you are not guaranteed to achieve similar results again, and above all, a disregard for the pressing needs of the people of Israel who are still fighting for their existence," he stated.

Stav concluded his appeal with a strong call for flexibility and magnanimity to heal Israeli society. He urged them to "sit in closed rooms until the smoke comes out; join forces with all Knesset members who believe in the State of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state; make concessions; show magnanimity; give trust; and find the solution that will lead us to repair, healing, and reconciliation. Exactly as you promised."
