The final results of Israel's general election will be delayed due to the ongoing count of over half a million "double envelope" ballots, cast by soldiers and other specific voter categories. The Central Election Committee's control center head, Elad Nave, stated in an interview with ynet that the processing of these ballots is scheduled to begin at midnight and is expected to conclude by Thursday evening. Nave indicated that it is currently impossible to determine how these outstanding votes will affect the final distribution of the Knesset's 120 seats among the parties. He emphasized that even after the count is finished, the results will be considered "almost final," with the committee planning an additional review of polling stations the following week. Consequently, a definitive picture of the parliamentary makeup will only be available after all mandated checks are completed.
