National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir criticized potential unity government talks involving Gadi Eisenkot, calling it a "terrible mistake" that would compromise Israel's Jewish character. Speaking after exit polls showed his party winning six to seven seats, Ben-Gvir vowed to continue his policy agenda. Most exit polls indicated that neither the right-wing nor the change bloc could form a government alone, with Likud as the largest party.

  • National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir warned against a unity government with Gadi Eisenkot, calling it a "terrible mistake."
  • Ben-Gvir expressed satisfaction with his party's projected exit poll results of six to seven seats.
  • He vowed to continue fighting against perceived concessions to terrorists and illegal construction.
  • Most exit polls suggested neither the right-wing nor the change bloc could form a government independently.
  • The Likud party was projected to be the largest party according to the polls.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir reacted to election exit poll results, expressing satisfaction with his party's performance and cautioning against forming a unity government that includes Gadi Eisenkot. "Unfortunately, tonight we hear that some are talking about a unity government with Eisenkot. This is precisely the scenario we warned against, it is a terrible mistake," Ben-Gvir stated. He warned that any move to compromise on Israel's interests or its Jewish character would be a grave error that the public would not forgive.

Ben-Gvir addressed the exit polls, which projected his party, Otzma Yehudit, to win between six and seven seats. While hoping for the accuracy of a Channel 14 poll showing the right-wing bloc with 60 seats, he emphasized his pride in his party's path and its commitment to advancing its policies in the next Knesset. He asserted that a government's purpose is not to please everyone but to fulfill a historic mission for the Jewish people by ruling, deciding, and safeguarding Israel's security and Jewish identity.

He further declared his intention to continue fighting against what he perceives as the hopes of terrorists in prisons for better conditions and those involved in illegal construction. "I say to them tonight: I will continue to fight so that these hopes are not realized," Ben-Gvir vowed.

Exit polls from various channels indicated that neither the right-wing bloc nor the change bloc could form a government independently. The Likud party emerged as the largest, while Ra'am was noted as a potential surprise. One poll suggested the right-wing bloc would have 60 seats, insufficient for a majority, with the change bloc at 43 seats and Arab parties securing 17 seats.
