Singer Ofer Levi Questioned Over Incitement Video

Israeli singer Ofer Levi was questioned by police on Tuesday on suspicion of inciting violence. The investigation stems from a video circulating online that allegedly features calls to "execute left-wing voters" and "take the law into our own hands." Levi, 62, was released under restrictive conditions after his interrogation at the Holon police station.

Levi has denied the allegations, claiming the video was doctored using artificial intelligence. He stated on social media that anyone publishing the video is subject to legal action. However, during his police questioning, Levi reportedly connected himself to the incident.

The police investigation was initiated following a report about the video, which purportedly shows a person making inciting statements, including that "anyone who supports the left knows they are a terrorist in every sense." After receiving approval from the State Attorney's Office, officers from the Ayalon district's Holon station summoned Levi for questioning.

The police stated they view incitement to violence and threats with severity and will act against anyone attempting to harm public peace and security, including through social media. The police did not specify the restrictive conditions imposed on Levi.
