Eisenkot Declares Victory, Calls for Government Change

Gadi Eisenkot, chairman of the Yashar! party, declared victory based on preliminary election exit poll results, stating it represents a "victory for the national-Zionist majority" and "absolute lack of confidence in the Netanyahu government." He announced plans to convene an urgent meeting with leaders of the "Change Bloc" parties to work towards replacing the current government and establishing a "Zionist enlistment government as soon as possible."

Eisenkot responded to the exit poll results for the 26th Knesset elections, asserting they clearly indicate the public's rejection of continued right-wing rule. In an official statement, he said, "The initial exit poll results indicate absolute lack of confidence in Netanyahu and the October 7th government, from the Zionist majority and the majority of Israeli citizens. If these are the final results, this is a victory for the national-Zionist majority in Israel."

Eisenkot further pledged to advance a governmental alternative immediately. "I will act immediately to implement the people's decision, to replace the Netanyahu government and establish a Zionist enlistment government, as soon as possible," he stated. He also announced he would soon convene a meeting with leaders of the opposition bloc parties to coordinate positions, form a united front, and examine steps for establishing the next coalition.
