Israeli election exit polls released Tuesday evening suggest a significant defeat for Prime Minister Netanyahu's bloc, with opposition leaders celebrating the results as a public mandate for change. Gadi Eisenkot, whose bloc appears to have won a majority, is expected to receive the first mandate to form a government. Opposition figures like Yair Lapid and Yair Golan declared Netanyahu's government had been "fired" by the public, while Hili Tropper confirmed a clear rejection of the current government.

Following the release of election exit polls on Tuesday evening, leaders from the "change bloc" reacted with declarations of victory, interpreting the results as a decisive rejection of Prime Minister Netanyahu's government. The polls, which indicated a majority for the bloc led by Gadi Eisenkot, suggest he will likely be the first to receive the mandate to form a new government, though forming a broad Zionist coalition currently appears challenging.

Gadi Eisenkot stated that the initial results signify a "complete lack of confidence" in Netanyahu and the "October 7th government," representing a win for the "state-Zionist majority." He pledged to "immediately act to implement the people's decision, to replace the Netanyahu government, and to establish a Zionist enlistment government as soon as possible."

Former Prime Minister Yair Lapid asserted that Netanyahu's bloc "suffered a severe defeat" and that "the public told them to go home." Yair Golan, chairman of the Democratic party, posted on X that "the public has spoken, it fired the Netanyahu government." He added that the bloc has a "historic opportunity to establish a real change government in Israel" and is "ready to work with all our partners, bridge gaps, and take responsibility."

Hili Tropper of the Yesh Atid party told Channel 12 News that Israeli citizens "said no to the October 7th government," receiving a "unequivocal answer." He noted that a government that previously held 68 mandates now appears to have around 50. When asked about the possibility of a minority government, Tropper stated they would await the final results before making decisions, emphasizing the clear Zionist majority and the public's desire for a different government.
