Hochman stated that Hendel's establishment of a combat reserve battalion during the war, which Hochman had the opportunity to visit and uplift soldiers, was enough to earn his vote and that of many other reservists. Hochman further praised Hendel as "the beautiful Israeli, literally and figuratively," and revealed the party's ballot letter, "Dalet," wishing the commander success.
