Israeli Man Arrested in Thailand on Drug and Secret Filming Charges

An Israeli man, 54, was arrested in Bangkok, Thailand, along with a 44-year-old Thai woman, on suspicion of drug possession and involvement in drug dealing. Authorities also discovered explicit videos allegedly filmed secretly on his mobile phone. The investigation began after Thai authorities received information that the Israeli national used dating apps to contact women and invite them to his apartment. He is suspected of offering them food believed to contain drugs before secretly filming them during sexual encounters. Police are investigating whether the food indeed contained drugs and if the recordings were used or intended for extortion.

According to Thai immigration records, the Israeli had overstayed his visa by 2,095 days. Despite appearing to have no regular employment, he possessed funds for daily expenses, and numerous women reportedly visited his apartment. The arrest occurred last Thursday in an apartment in a residential building in Bangkok. During a search, approximately 15 grams of crystal methamphetamine and a cake suspected of containing drugs were seized.

The Israeli denied ownership of the seized drugs. However, police claim his phone contained evidence of drug purchases for resale, as well as the aforementioned secret sexual recordings made inside the apartment. During his arrest, he reportedly asserted that influential individuals would secure his release within two hours, demanded the officers' names, and threatened to have them transferred or fired. He was also accused of threatening to kill a police inspector.
