Sociologist Shlomo Filber warned that high voter turnout in Israel's elections could significantly change the distribution of Knesset seats. He observed increased activity across all societal sectors, including Arab, left-wing, right-wing, and ultra-Orthodox communities. This surge may particularly affect smaller parties' chances of crossing the electoral threshold and alter the final seat allocation.

Sociologist Shlomo Filber, who is overseeing exit polls for Channel 14, has cautioned that unusually high voter turnout could significantly alter the distribution of Knesset seats compared to recent projections. Filber stated in an interview that increased voter activity is being observed across nearly all segments of Israeli society, indicating a strong public engagement with the elections.

He noted that the surge in turnout is evident in Arab communities, areas with predominantly left-wing and right-wing electorates, and among ultra-Orthodox voters. Filber emphasized that this heightened participation has the potential to substantially impact the allocation of the 120 parliamentary mandates.

The sociologist highlighted that the high turnout could be particularly crucial for smaller parties striving to overcome the electoral threshold. If some of these parties fail to enter the Knesset, the remaining seats will be redistributed among the other political forces, leading to a different final outcome than previously forecast.

Filber did not specify which parties might benefit or suffer from the increased turnout, suggesting that more definitive conclusions would be possible after processing data from polling stations. Exit polls from all Israeli television channels were scheduled to be released at 10:00 PM on October 27th, following the closure of polling stations.
