A young Avreich, Rabbi Eliya Arouch, was killed in a fatal car accident on Ben Tzvi Road in Tel Aviv. A member of a Kollel, Rabbi Arouch, 28, had settled in Tel Aviv after his marriage and was actively involved in spreading Torah through classes he held without profit. The accident occurred around 1 AM when Rabbi Arouch was leaving a gas station and his vehicle collided with a pole. Emergency medical services, including United Hatzalah, Hatzalah, and Magen David Adom, arrived at the scene and performed resuscitation efforts. "This was a vehicle that collided with a pole," stated Avraham Eldar, a United Hatzalah paramedic. "We provided initial medical assistance to the driver and performed resuscitation efforts at the scene. He was then evacuated to the hospital while resuscitation continued, his condition critical."

Doctors at Wolfson Hospital in Holon pronounced him dead. Rabbi Arouch was laid to rest the same day in Elad, the city where his parents, Rabbi Yosef Arouch and Mrs. Keren Arouch, reside. In Tel Aviv, Rabbi Arouch lived with his family near his grandfather, R' David Hill, and together they conducted Torah classes without charge. His Kollel studies and the classes in the city were central to Rabbi Arouch's life, forming the core of his young family's existence. While the accident occurred, his wife was asleep at home. When police arrived to inform her, she initially believed they were there to arrest her husband for desertion, only to learn of his death.

Rabbi Arouch is survived by his wife and three young children: a five-year-old daughter, a three-year-old daughter, and a ten-month-old infant. The widow now faces immense hardship. Without her husband, she cannot afford to continue living in Tel Aviv, as the family does not own a home and lacks the funds to purchase one. As a salaried accountant, she is now solely responsible for the household's expenses, raising the three children, and finding a new place to live. In light of the situation, the public is being called upon to support the widow and her three orphaned children, to provide them with shelter and a chance for a new life after their world was shattered overnight.
