Election Day in Israel was marred by two tragic medical incidents, resulting in the deaths of two men from cardiac arrest. In Eilat, a 66-year-old man collapsed at a polling station and was rushed to Yoseftal Medical Center. Despite extensive resuscitation efforts, he was pronounced dead. The hospital stated he arrived in critical condition with a severe cardiac event.

In Ramat Gan, 94-year-old Yisrael Kreis insisted on voting in the Knesset elections before suffering a cardiac arrest. He was evacuated to the hospital while resuscitation efforts were underway, but medical personnel ultimately declared him deceased. Details on his condition prior to the incident were not immediately available.

Magen David Adom (MDA) reported that its teams responded to 21 medical incidents across the country between 7 AM and 2 PM on election day. These included the two fatal cardiac arrest cases. Additionally, MDA treated ten individuals for minor injuries sustained from slips or falls at or near polling stations.

In a separate incident, a 37-year-old woman in Ramat Gan went into advanced labor at a polling station and was transported to the hospital by an MDA team. MDA stated that its ambulances and intensive care units would remain on heightened alert throughout the country until polls closed to ensure rapid medical response.
