A 66-year-old man who collapsed at a polling station in Eilat on Tuesday, election day for the 26th Knesset, has died. Medical teams at Yoseftal Medical Center attempted resuscitation efforts after he was brought to the emergency room in critical condition with a severe cardiac event, but they were ultimately unsuccessful. The hospital extended its condolences to the family.

In a separate incident, a 94-year-old man collapsed at a polling station in Ramat Gan and was evacuated to the hospital while undergoing resuscitation. His current condition has not yet been reported.

Between 7:00 AM and 2:00 PM on election day, Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency medical services treated 21 individuals across the country. These included the two cardiac arrest incidents in Eilat and Ramat Gan. MDA teams also provided care to ten people who sustained minor injuries from tripping or slipping at or near polling stations. Additionally, a 37-year-old woman in Ramat Gan experienced advanced labor pains at a polling station and was transported to the hospital by MDA.

MDA stated that its ambulance and intensive care units are operating on heightened alert nationwide until polling stations close to ensure rapid medical response.
