Hapoel Tel Aviv Midfielder Optimistic About Championship Chances

Hapoel Tel Aviv midfielder Lucas Faleau expressed strong optimism about his team's chances of winning the league championship, stating that the "chances are very good" if they continue to play with the same passing and concentration. Faleau, who is three games away from his 50th appearance in Israeli football, also feels at home in Israel, having been there for nearly two years. He described reaching the 50-appearance milestone as a "nice and symbolic milestone" he would be proud of.

Faleau highlighted the team's strong performance, noting that they have lost only once in their last eight games and possess the best defense among the 14 teams in the league. He acknowledged the possibility of Hapoel Tel Aviv reaching the top of the league standings in the next round if they defeat Maccabi Haifa and Maccabi Tel Aviv falters against Hapoel Ramat Gan. "It would be wonderful, without a doubt," Faleau said, adding that while first place brings responsibility, it also commands respect from other clubs. He affirmed the team's commitment to fighting hard for victories, while recognizing that other results are beyond their control.

Hapoel Tel Aviv is preparing for the Toto Cup final against Maccabi Tel Aviv on Thursday.
