The Kassao family cast their ballots recently at a polling station close to the absorption center in Safed. Tesfaye, Banchi, and Yerus voted for the first time since immigrating to Israel. Tesfaye Kassao expressed her excitement, saying, "I was very excited to vote. It's a great right, but also a great responsibility because I truly believe that whoever is elected is responsible for our safety and the safety of our children. As a citizen of Israel, I have duties and rights, and my children also deserve the rights of being under the responsibility of those who lead the country. My daughter also has the right to return home. My daughter did not choose not to return to me and Banchi; our daughter deserves better. I am full of hope that whoever is elected to lead the country will remember their duty to my child and all the children of Israel."
