Gal Gadot Returns to Israel to Vote, Urges Citizens to Participate

Israeli actress Gal Gadot cast her vote in the Knesset elections on the morning of October 27 at a polling station in Tel Aviv. The "Wonder Woman" star shared a video on her Instagram stories, urging her fellow citizens to follow her example. Gadot specifically flew to Israel to participate in the elections. "I am exercising my right to vote. I ask all of you to go out and use your most basic, most important, most democratic right, to vote for whom you believe in," Gadot stated. She also expressed her personal sentiment, "I am going to vote for change," though she did not name a specific party. Gadot conveyed her hope that election day would bring good to everyone, referencing the Hebrew expression "Yom Shlishi Pa'aim Ki Tov," which relates to the biblical account of creation where the third day, Tuesday, is described as "good" twice, making Tuesday a particularly auspicious day. She concluded the video with a kiss to the camera.

Gadot, who resides in Los Angeles with her husband Yaron Varsano and their four daughters, combined her trip to Israel with another significant event. The day before, she was awarded an honorary doctorate from Bar-Ilan University as part of the institution's 70th-anniversary celebrations.
