Israel's Central Election Committee has implemented a comprehensive oversight system for the 26th Knesset elections, aiming to ensure every vote is counted accurately. This system involves multiple layers of monitoring and verification.

The first layer consists of the polling station committees themselves. These committees include members appointed by various political parties, alongside observers from those parties, creating a system where each party monitors its rivals. Voter identification is checked, and each ballot is marked on the voter list. Any irregularities or comments are officially recorded.

The second layer involves election purity inspectors. Approximately 15,000 body cameras and a dedicated app are being used by these inspectors, who are stationed at every polling station where votes are being counted. Their role is to continuously document the vote counting process, the packing of materials, and to report any unusual events. This system evolved from the 2019 elections, which initially used 3,000 inspectors who moved between polling stations.

Vote counting is conducted manually and transparently. Each ballot is presented to those present and read aloud, with at least two committee members from different factions keeping separate records. The number of voters is compared against the number of envelopes, and any discrepancies are noted. After counting, ballot materials are sealed and signed before being transferred to regional committees.

The final layer, termed "Operation Election Purity," takes place after election day but before official results are released. This involves in-depth reviews of polling stations flagged for unusual data or reported irregularities, with recounts conducted if necessary. In previous elections, about 43.5% of polling stations underwent such scrutiny. Suspected violations are referred to the relevant authorities.
