Hapoel Jerusalem, under coach Sasha Obradovic, has maintained a flawless record in both the domestic league and the EuroCup, with strong performances from Shayok Milton and Jalen Smith, and crucial plays from Yuval Sussman. The team's integration of Jared Harper is anticipated.
Hapoel Tel Aviv's season is marked by questions surrounding their foreign player choices and coach Itoudis's responsibility for recent losses. The effectiveness of isolation basketball is debated, especially without EuroLeague stars, and the return of Tomer Ginat prompts discussion about his European prospects. The team is also navigating challenges with Zach LeDay, Jacob Toppin's successful acquisition, and Itoudis's efforts to deepen the squad for a demanding schedule.
Maccabi Tel Aviv is experiencing a shift from optimism to concern following losses to Real Madrid and Rishon LeZion. The injury to Iffe Lundberg necessitates immediate action, while a decline in production from Roman Sorkin and Jalen Hurd is being examined, with potential links to the guards' performance.
The program also features an interview with Amos Frishman, Chairman of the Basketball Association, who addresses the crisis within the national team. Topics include the absence of Denny Avdija due to insurance issues, measures against players and clubs not responding to call-ups, and the departure of coach Ariel Beit-Halahmy. Further discussions cover Omer Mayer's confrontation and expected apology, the possibility of Denny Wolf and Emmanuel Sharp joining the national team, and Frishman's personal perspective as a fan finding it hard to connect with Hapoel Tel Aviv's EuroLeague team due to its limited use of Israeli players.
