The Israeli Ministry of Health announced that thousands of patients currently hospitalized in public hospitals, psychiatric facilities, and nursing and rehabilitation care institutions will be able to cast their votes in the upcoming 26th Knesset elections, scheduled for Tuesday, October 27th. Special ballot boxes will be set up within these institutions to facilitate voting.
The measure applies to facilities with more than 50 licensed beds. Voters will be required to present identification and a certificate confirming their hospitalization. Additionally, medical staff members who are unable to reach their registered polling stations will be permitted to vote within the hospitals, in accordance with the law.
