The Israel Football Association's league management requested a 30-minute delay for the evening's match between Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Be'er Sheva at Sammy Ofer Stadium, citing massive traffic jams expected outside the venue. The concern is that thousands of fans could miss the kickoff. However, the Israel Police have so far refused the postponement. The police cited the upcoming election day, scheduled for the following day, as the reason for their refusal. The match had already been moved up to 7:00 PM to ease the burden on police officers who would be working both on game day and election day. Maccabi Haifa has joined the league management's plea for a delay, but the police remain firm in their decision.
