Former reality TV contestant and TV host Corinne Gideon reignited a past controversy involving Ichilov Hospital, targeting its former spokesperson, Avi Shushan, who is currently appearing on the show "Survivor." Gideon recalled an incident from about five years ago when, shortly after giving birth, she complained about the conditions in Ichilov's maternity ward, describing them as "terrible" and lacking basic amenities like a window, oxygen, and even a proper chair.
At the time, Ichilov Hospital responded by accusing Gideon of "ugly slander" against the hospital staff. Shushan, in his current response, stated that the incident occurred during the chaos of the early COVID-19 pandemic. He initially felt sympathy for Gideon, believing she might have contracted COVID-19, but then realized she was in a newly opened, luxurious maternity ward.
