Apple Faces Major Leak of Classified iPhone 18 Details from Tata Electronics Hack

Apple is investigating a significant data breach following a cyberattack on Tata Electronics, a key Indian manufacturing partner. Hackers accessed and leaked sensitive information about the upcoming iPhone 18, including confidential technical specifications, internal code names, and images from recent drop tests conducted at Tata's facilities in early 2026. The leaked files revealed detailed supply chain data, exposing the identities of component suppliers for the unreleased device, such as motherboard chips, batteries, and cameras.

Apple maintains strict secrecy around its suppliers, and insiders say the exposure of these confidential lists severely undermines Apple's supply chain security and negotiation leverage.
