According to the IDF spokesperson, "Regarding various reports in the Israeli and international media in the past 24 hours, attributing various statements to the Chief of Staff or senior IDF officials, we wish to clarify: The IDF is focused on its missions and is on high alert in all arenas, facing various sensitive threats during this period." The spokesperson added that "operational activity and considerations within the IDF are solely security-related, professional, substantive, and state-oriented, and any other discourse is misleading and irrelevant."
