Future Park Tel Aviv is transforming from a traditional office complex into a dynamic business city, offering an "ecosystem" that integrates services, infrastructure, innovation, sports, health, leisure, and culture alongside office and co-working spaces. This shift aims to meet the evolving needs of companies competing for talent, adapting to technological changes, and managing resources wisely.
Eyal Green, CEO of Future Park Tel Aviv, explained that the new model moves beyond simply providing square footage. "A good business city needs to address the entire playing field, not just the area where the desks are," he stated, emphasizing that companies require support for their employees, clients, partners, and changing needs.
The park is adopting a "FLEX" strategy to address the growing demand for workplace flexibility. This approach allows companies to adapt their space requirements, including size, internal layout, and options for expansion or contraction, in response to rapid changes in hiring, technology, and work models. A CBRE survey indicates a growing trend towards flexible real estate strategies among organizations.
Beyond flexibility, Future Park Tel Aviv is fostering innovation through CityZone, an urban innovation lab developed in partnership with the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality and Tel Aviv University. This lab, part of the international ENoLL network, allows tech companies to test solutions in a real urban environment, connecting ideas with infrastructure, users, and challenges. Green highlighted that significant breakthroughs often come from unexpected encounters between entrepreneurs, companies, and real-world problems.
The park also integrates health and sports into the workday, featuring six padel courts, a nearby country club, and a basketball complex. Future plans include an advanced "L'angiviti" center with ice baths and yoga. This integration reflects a broader trend of blending work and personal life within the same space, recognizing that sports and social interactions can foster business connections.
Furthermore, the business city extends its offerings beyond work hours with a variety of restaurants, upcoming food markets, and a new hotel. It also hosts live music and performances at the UPTOWN complex, creating a vibrant environment that encourages people to visit for reasons beyond just work. Green described this as embodying the "15-minute city" concept, where diverse amenities are within close proximity, making the workspace a more integral part of life.
