A ceremony for the dedication of a new Torah scroll took place for the Nadvorna-Bania Hasidic community in Jerusalem. The scroll was donated by Rabbi Lipa Dov Sternheim of the United States, intended for the merit of the Nadvorna-Bania Rebbe. The final letters of the scroll were written at the Rebbe's residence on Avinoam Yelin Street, followed by a procession to the community's study hall at 21 David Street, corner of Fishel Street.
During the procession, the Nadvorna-Bania Rebbe wore the "gartel" (a sash) belonging to the holy Rabbi Hershele of Kretschneff Jerusalem. The event was attended by several other Rebbes, including those from Lelov Jerusalem, Strykov, Dinov, and Virdan, as well as prominent rabbis such as Rabbi M. Bernsdorfer, head of the Beitar rabbinical court, Rabbi Tz. Breverman, head of the Zvhill rabbinical court, Rabbi M. Militzky, head of the Yeshiva Rashi, Rabbi Ch. Sherler, head of the Kollel, and Rabbi Y. Hershler.
