The gathering, attended by approximately 200 prominent figures including members of the Council of Torah Sages, community rabbis, heads of institutions, and synagogue gabbais, was called to urge every Torah scholar to actively campaign for Shas's success.
Key attendees included members of the Council of Torah Sages such as the Rishon LeZion Rabbi Y. Yosef, Rabbi A. Salaim, head of the 'Maor HaTorah' yeshiva, Rabbi Sh. Betzalel, head of the 'Porat Yosef' yeshiva, Rabbi R. Elbaz, head of the 'Or HaChaim' yeshiva, Rabbi Y. Cohen, head of the 'Yakir Yerushalayim' yeshiva, and Rabbi Sh. Speakers at the event emphasized the critical nature of the current moment and the responsibility of each individual to contribute to Shas's electoral success. They described the election as a "fateful battle for the future of the world of Torah and Judaism," framing it as a "total war by the left against all holy things of Israel" aiming to uproot tradition. Attendees were urged to vote and to influence their communities to vote for Shas to strengthen Torah, protect Torah scholars, and preserve the Jewish identity of the state.
