Yashar Party Files Police Complaint Over Fake Election Messages

The Yashar party, led by Gadi Eisenkot, has filed a police complaint alleging forgery and impersonation after fake messages were distributed in its name ahead of the elections. The party stated that these false communications, which used the party's name and its unsubscribe phone number, were intended to mislead the public and harm the "Change Bloc" before the vote.

Prior to the police complaint, the party had appealed to the Central Elections Committee, demanding that those responsible be identified, including through the cyber department. The party claims that unknown actors are attempting to damage its standing by spreading false information, warning that the coming days are likely to be filled with fake news.

The Yashar party urged the public to exercise responsibility before publishing information and to avoid amplifying unverified reports, stating, "Unknown elements are acting out of fear and panic of defeat and are trying to pollute the election system with lies and forgeries."
