Israel's Ministry of Health announced the destruction of 53 kilograms of beef products from the "Super Zol U'Begadol" butcher shop located in the Avshalom Industrial Zone, Ashkol Regional Council. The action followed an inspection by ministry supervisors and a local veterinarian from the Eshkol Negev West authority.

During the inspection, it was discovered that the business was operating without the necessary licenses and under poor sanitary conditions. Inspectors found products that were prepared in violation of regulations, including fresh products being frozen, thawed meats, and seasoned ground beef. Additionally, many products lacked manufacturer and expiration date markings, posing a potential risk to public health.

As a result, and under the directive of the district's responsible veterinarian, the non-consumable beef products were seized and destroyed. The ministry emphasized that improper handling, storage, and marketing of meat, poultry, and fish, without adhering to legal requirements, can harm public health.

Consumers who purchased unmarked or expired products from the establishment are urged not to consume them and to dispose of them. The Ministry of Health and local authorities stated they will continue to implement inspection and enforcement measures to safeguard public well-being. Further guidance on purchasing meat, poultry, and fish is available on the Ministry of Health website.
