  • Rotem Sela's brand Better launched premium bovine colostrum supplements in Israel.
  • The supplements use MAOLAC's patented technology, claiming seven times higher efficacy.
  • Two products are available, priced at 169.90 and 219.90 shekels for 30 capsules.
  • The supplements are marketed for skin, energy, and digestive health benefits.
  • Better emphasizes ethical sourcing of surplus colostrum after calves have nursed.

The wellness and supplement brand Better, co-owned by Israeli celebrity Rotem Sela and CEO of Chemipal-Brands Yonatan Gal, has introduced a new line of dietary supplements featuring bovine colostrum. Colostrum, the initial milk produced by mammals after giving birth, is rich in nutrients and antibodies. Better is launching two products: Better Colostrum, priced at 169.90 shekels for 30 capsules, and Better Colostrum Comfort, a more concentrated formula for digestion, selling for 219.90 shekels for 30 capsules.

According to the company, these supplements aim to improve skin appearance, boost energy levels, and support the digestive system. They are low in lactose but not suitable for those with milk allergies. The products are positioned as premium, with Better claiming their colostrum is unique due to an innovative, patented technology from Israeli biotech firm MAOLAC. This technology reportedly isolates proteins from bovine colostrum that are up to 95% similar to human breast milk, claiming seven times greater efficacy than standard colostrum.

MAOLAC will exclusively partner with Better in Israel, while also working with international brands like Lemme, founded by Kourtney Kardashian. Better emphasizes that their colostrum is sourced from surplus milk after calves have nursed, adhering to strict ethical standards for animal welfare. This ethical sourcing is highlighted in contrast to Sela's past participation in an anti-animal separation campaign for the dairy industry.

While bovine colostrum supplements are available internationally and on Israeli e-commerce sites like iHerb at significantly lower price points, Better aims to establish itself as a leading player in the Israeli market through scientific backing and advanced technology. Gal stated that Better seeks to redefine the supplement category by offering products with genuine value, leveraging Chemipal's extensive experience in the pharmaceutical sector.
