Jerusalem District Court has approved an agreement for Superland and Luna Park to continue honoring free entry for companions of individuals with disabilities until a new decision is made. The court ordered the withdrawal of a petition filed by "Amusement City" company and returned the issue for renewed examination by the Commissioner for Equal Rights of Persons with Disabilities in the Ministry of Justice.

During this review, the Commissioner's office will hear the positions of relevant parties and formulate a new, orderly, and comprehensive policy regarding the exemption for companions at amusement parks. A decision is expected by March 31, 2027. Until then, the existing arrangement, requiring both parks to honor the exemption, will remain in effect.

The withdrawal of the petition does not conclude the discussion on the matter. After the new decision is published, any relevant party may appeal to the appropriate judicial body.

Commissioner for Equal Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Dan Rechel, welcomed the decision, stating it upholds the Commissioner's directive to respect the right to free entry for companions at amusement parks. Rechel announced that in the coming months, the Commissioner's office will engage in dialogue with all relevant parties, particularly individuals with disabilities, their families, and service providers, before publishing a clear policy on the subject.
