Emergency services, including Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics, conducted a large-scale drill in Dimona on Thursday, October 22, simulating a rocket strike on a residential building. The exercise, initiated by the Dimona municipality and its head Beni Biton, aimed to learn lessons from Operation "Lion's Roar." The drill involved rescuing and providing medical aid to dozens of simulated casualties from a real apartment building that was damaged by an Iranian rocket during the operation. Search and rescue operations were practiced inside the building, followed by the evacuation of casualties. MDA teams provided medical treatment to the simulated victims as they were extracted by rescue units and firefighters. Paramedics also practiced evacuating casualties to a hospital using ambulances and intensive care vehicles, coordinating with an MDA helicopter that landed at Dimona's helipad. The helicopter airlifted several simulated patients to a mock hospital, with medical care continuing en route.
