Israeli police announced on Sunday that they had thwarted 12 attempts to steal or transport vehicles into the West Bank region over the past week. The operations, concentrated in the Samaria area, resulted in the arrest of 10 suspects for investigation. Police stated that some of these theft attempts were disguised as vehicle towing services. In two separate incidents at the Rantis checkpoint, police stopped two tow trucks. One truck was found to be carrying two vehicles suspected of being stolen from a lot in the Central District, while the other was transporting a vehicle from Elad to the village of Shuqba, booked via an app. These two incidents led to the arrest of five suspects, three of whom are residents of Tamra and Kafr Manda, and two from Ashkelon. In another incident, police discovered a vehicle stolen from the Herzliya area after setting up roadblocks on Route 55 and returned it to its owner.
