Madonna Reveals Ex-Husband Guy Ritchie's Crush on Kylie Minogue During New Album Promotion

Pop icon Madonna, currently promoting her new album Confessions 2, made a surprising revelation during a recent interview with Graham Norton. She disclosed that her ex-husband, director Guy Ritchie, was infatuated with another pop star, Kylie Minogue, who was also present during the interview. Madonna shared this candid admission in front of both Norton and Minogue, highlighting the mutual admiration between the two singers that dates back to the 2000 MTV Europe Music Awards. At that event, Madonna wore a shirt bearing Kylie’s name during her performance, a gesture that surprised Minogue, who later returned the favor by wearing a Madonna shirt during one of her London concerts two years ago.

Madonna explained that she felt a bit jealous of Kylie because she was "so sweet" and believed Ritchie was attracted to her at the time. She said, "I thought, 'I will never be as beautiful as Kylie.'" Madonna was married to Guy Ritchie from 2000 to 2008 and previously to actor Sean Penn from 1985 to 1989.

In the same interview, Madonna also opened up about her relationship with her daughter Lourdes, who appears on the new album. Lourdes, a musician with a lower profile than her mother, initiated their collaboration to help mend their somewhat strained relationship. Madonna recounted how Lourdes hesitated to work with her, fearing accusations of exploiting her fame, but eventually proposed writing a song together as a healing experience.

Regarding a potential duet with Kylie Minogue, neither Madonna nor Kylie confirmed or denied plans for a collaboration, leaving fans hopeful for a future joint project or tour.
