Eight-Year-Old Critically Injured After Apparent Bus Collision in Negev

An eight-year-old boy is in critical condition after sustaining severe, multi-system injuries in what appears to be a bus accident. The child was brought to a local clinic in Hura, a Bedouin town in the Negev desert, after the incident. Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) provided initial medical treatment at the scene and then transported the boy to Soroka Hospital. During the transport, MDA emergency medical technicians performed resuscitation efforts as the child's condition was described as critical. "We received a report of a child who was injured and brought to a local clinic in Hura," said an MDA emergency medical technician. "A medical team that was at the scene provided medical treatment to the child who was apparently hit by a bus. We continued the medical treatment and evacuated him in an MDA intensive care unit to the hospital while performing resuscitation efforts, with his condition being critical, and we continue to fight for his life."
