Israeli police have arrested a pharmacist and another suspect in connection with a serious fraud and drug trafficking operation. The pair allegedly forged medical prescriptions using doctors' identities to illegally acquire and sell dangerous narcotic medications. The investigation, a joint effort between the Central District's Fraud and Cybercrime Investigation Unit and the Ministry of Health, began after a report from the health ministry.

Investigators believe the main suspect, a man in his 70s from Kadima Tzuran, possessed around 20 stamps from pain and neurology specialists, along with dozens of fake IDs and health fund cards. A search of his home uncovered over 200,000 shekels, approximately 20,000 euros, and 15,000 dollars in cash. He is suspected of using these forged documents to obtain potent drugs like Fentanyl, Ritalin, and Percocet, which are classified as dangerous substances with potentially fatal consequences if misused.

The second suspect, a pharmacist from northern Israel, is accused of selling these medications to the main suspect for cash. Both individuals' detentions have been extended multiple times during the investigation. The case file has now been transferred to the Central District Prosecutor's Office, which intends to file indictments against the two in the coming days.
