The recalled products are of Chinese manufacture and were imported into Israel by Saint Lakat Company Ltd. The decision to recall the fans followed an official inspection by a specialized laboratory, which determined that the MATRIX model MX-CF42-4CL-WH, with barcode 6856741212158, does not meet Israeli standard TI 900 Part 2.80 for fan safety.

The primary issue identified was insufficient strength in the device's mechanical connection, which could lead to the fan loosening and falling during operation, posing a serious threat to health and life. The affected products were sold in Israel between April 23 and April 25.
