Sakhnin Academic College Enhances International Presence at AI and Cultural Diplomacy Seminar

A delegation from Sakhnin Academic College participated in an international academic seminar hosted by Khazar University in Baku, Azerbaijan, on October 5-6, 2026. The event aimed to foster international academic cooperation and knowledge exchange in artificial intelligence, cultural diplomacy, and intercultural dialogue. The delegation included Professor Yasser Awad, the college's Vice President for Strategic Planning and International Relations, Professor Fadia Nasser Abu Al-Hija, the Dean, along with Dr. Lina Boulos and Dr. Manal Abu Ahmed.

The seminar, titled "Artificial Intelligence as a Tool for Processing and Designing Personal Narratives and Media Images to Enhance Cultural Diplomacy Skills and Develop Social and Multicultural Relations," was a collaborative effort between Khazar University, Turkey's Gazi and Ondokuz Mayıs Universities, Uzbekistan's Andijan State Institute of Foreign Languages and Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, and Sakhnin Academic College.

Discussions focused on leveraging AI technologies for cultural diplomacy and inter-community communication, exploring innovative methods for analyzing personal and cultural narratives from multiple perspectives, and identifying opportunities for joint research and educational projects. The program featured academic presentations on the intersection of AI, culture, media, and international communication, alongside practical workshops using AI tools like NotebookLM, Gemini, and Storybook for cultural narrative analysis and visual storytelling.

Participants also trained in developing AI-powered personal assistants for cultural diplomacy and crafting digital instructions to support intercultural dialogue. The event concluded with an evaluation of acquired experiences and discussions on future steps to strengthen collaboration among the participating institutions, aiming to boost academic and cultural exchange and expand joint initiatives.

Sakhnin Academic College's participation is significant for its international outreach, enhancing its global academic and research standing, and exploring new avenues for cooperation in science, education, and technology.
