Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett stated in an interview on Wednesday that his views on religion and state, and LGBTQ+ rights, have significantly evolved. "I have changed a lot in my position," Bennett said, contrasting his current stance with his past conservatism, and now advocating for "complete and full equal rights for LGBTQ+ people." He reiterated that he would not concede any part of Israel to an enemy or establish a Palestinian state.

Bennett defended his decision to form a government with the Islamist party Ra'am, noting that it occurred after four election cycles and that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had previously sought a coalition with Ra'am's leader, Mansour Abbas. Bennett also claimed that Itamar Ben-Gvir had agreed to the arrangement, suggesting it could have been formed with Ra'am's external support. "Netanyahu is going home, we are not with him in government," Bennett declared.

When asked if he trusted Netanyahu not to initiate an attack on Iran to disrupt election day, Bennett responded unequivocally, "I don't trust Netanyahu, zero."

The interview also touched upon Yair Netanyahu, the Prime Minister's son, who was quoted as reacting strongly to a right-wing figure, though the specific context was not detailed.
