Maccabi Netanya Prepares for Football Association Tribunal Hearing

Maccabi Netanya is preparing to present its case before the Football Association's tribunal on Wednesday. The club's CEO, Gil Lev, and its legal counsel, Roi Rozen and Tal Shegev, will attend the hearing. The case concerns a complaint filed by Maccabi Netanya against Hapoel Petah Tikva for fielding 12 players simultaneously during a match that ended in a 1-1 draw.

Maccabi Netanya is attending as an "interested party" rather than the defendant. However, as the complainant, the club's legal advisors will be permitted to present arguments. The club has submitted numerous past cases of players being fielded illegally, which resulted in technical losses, to the legal department for the tribunal's consideration.

Given the case's importance, two judges will preside over the hearing, although this is not mandatory. In the event of a disagreement between the judges, the regulations stipulate that the more lenient opinion will prevail, regardless of the judge's seniority.

Separately, player Maor Levi has spoken with coach Roni Levi and apologized for liking a post critical of the coach without realizing it. A decision regarding Maor Levi's playing status will be made by the end of the week, but he is expected to be included in the squad for the away game against Ironi Tiberias.
