Security footage released Tuesday by Kan News reveals the murder of Alexander Tzemach at a gas station in Netanya approximately five months ago. Tzemach was shot at close range by an assailant near terrified customers during his first shift at the station. Initially, police suspected a case of mistaken identity, as Tzemach had no criminal record. However, a significant development in the investigation indicates Tzemach was the intended target and the murder was premeditated.
Investigators now believe Tzemach randomly encountered one of the suspects in Netanya, leading to a trivial argument. This dispute prompted several individuals involved to plan and carry out his murder. Six suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident. Two of these individuals are also suspected of another shooting in Tel Aviv days after the Netanya murder. The detention of all arrested suspects has been extended for six to ten days.
