Yaakov Bardugo, a Likud candidate for the Knesset, has sent a sharp message to Brigadier General (res.) Ofer Winter, chairman of the 'Amcha Israel' party, urging him to fulfill a promise to withdraw from the race. Bardugo revealed in an interview with Walla that he met with Winter about a month ago, during which Winter allegedly committed to withdrawing if he did not show stable poll numbers leading up to election day.
"He told me: 'If I don't pass the electoral threshold in at least three polls in the final week, I'm out,'" Bardugo claimed. The senior Likud official emphasized the critical importance of such a move for the right-wing bloc, stating, "If Winter withdraws, certainly two more mandates, if not more, will currently join the right-wing bloc."
Bardugo highlighted the danger posed by parties failing to cross the electoral threshold, warning that current data suggests at least four mandates belonging to the Netanyahu bloc are being lost below the required threshold. This, he cautioned, could determine the outcome of the entire election.
